Kodiak Market Place to Anchor Downtown Core

The Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) purchased the former AC/Krafts building in downtown Kodiak. The building has been vacant for several years, but now an exciting new project has started that will result in the creation of the new Kodiak Marketplace.

The new building will become an anchor in the Downtown and encourage a revitalization of the Kodiak core downtown. When finished the building will provide mixed-use small business and retail space on the ground floor and workforce and economic development services on the second floor. The Marketplace will support food security activities by warehousing and distributing food for village elders. The facility also includes 6000 SF of community gathering, conference and training rooms with a fully equipped commercial kitchen.
