KEDC Board of Directors 2024

Kodiak Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors welcomes a new member, Jessica Johnson.

Jessica shares, “I am honored by my selection to serve on the Kodiak Economic Development Corporation board of directors. Since first moving to Kodiak in 2012, I have been inspired by our community and have actively sought opportunities to assist in the betterment of our shared island experience. I believe the skills that I honed as a leader on the teams planning for the Coast Guard’s homeport expansion and housing development will help me in being an invaluable board member, especially as we explore affordable housing and workforce development opportunities to ensure our community’s continued success. I am excited about the prospect of collaborating with fellow board members to shape a future where our children can live in a thriving future Kodiak.”

Jessica is currently the Manager of Power Generation at Kodiak Electric Association. With an extensive background spanning two decades in Engineering, Business Operations and Program/Project Management, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a proven track record of success.

In this role she had the pleasure of serving as an advisor to the Kodiak Island Borough School District. Her visionary leadership and innovation fostered a positive and inclusive work culture and brought over $500 Million in Capital Improvement projects to Kodiak Island, benefitting both the community and Coast Guard.

In her current role as the Manager of Power Generation she is responsible for overseeing the overall performance of all power generation and facilities for Kodiak Electric Association. There, she continues to leverage her strategic vision and leadership expertise to drive KEA’s mission of delivering sustainable and renewable energy solutions to the community.
